Something went wrong with the volume's CNID DB
I have 2 Macs running OSX 10.6.4 connected to a DroboShare by ethernet. I'm using BacMyFruitUp fo TimeMachine back-ups.

Yesterday I had to close down a back-up before completion. Today I'm getting this message on both Macs:

""""
Message from "DroboShare"
Something went wrong with the volume's CNID DB, using temporary CNID DB instead. Check server messages for details. Switching to read-only mode.
""""

I don't know how to check server messages. Can anyone help?

Wow, that's a weird one. Highly recommend contacting DRI support, then post back what happens here to close the loop.

Drobo provides fault-tolerance, it's NOT a substitute for regular backups.

RE: Something went wrong with the volume's CNID DB
Just got this myself using Lion with Drobo FS, any word on how they solved it for you?

Drobo: Drobo FS (Oct 2010) + Western Digital Green 2TB disk pack (x3)
System: MacBook Pro 15.4"
Connection: Drobo FS ethernet <== Apple Airport Extreme ==> wireless 5GHz to MacBook Pro
