Permissions El Cap Issue
Hoping someone can help I just purchased a new Drobo Gen 3 attached it to my Mac mini and I am having some permissions issues. Each time i attempt to create a folder or copy something to it i am prompted for a sys admin password. I enter my iCloud password (i use my iCloud ID and password to log in) and I am able to copy to it but it gets annoying. Has anyone seen anything like this? I do not have the same problem with other external drives that I have attached

RE: Permissions El Cap Issue
hi im not sure if its directly related, but maybe checking some mac security permissions might help?
here is a link for you with some more details that might be handy, including a link on the bottom of the page to apples site?

(btw i have XP home SP2, a Drobo v1 with 2x 1TB/2x 1.5TB WD greens, & a bkp Drobo v2 with the same + a DroboShare: unused)
& a DroboS v2 with 3xWD15EADS &2x1TB in DDR mode on win7, & a drobo5D (all usb)
  • btw i did a sustained (write) operation for about 6 hours, and got 13.2MB / sec ...objection? "sustained" :)
    (16.7MB/s on a v2 & 47-96MB/s drobo-s)
