Question Upgraded to El Capitan, drobo 5D is not recognized on USB3 connection
Hi,

I have upgraded my mac pro to El Capitan and can no longer access my Drobo 5D via usb3 or usb2.
Still works fine on my non-upgraded laptop vsi usb3.
My mac pro doesn't have thunderbolt.

I've upgraded the firmware of the Drobo.
Cleanly uninstalled using AppDelete and reinstalled Drobo dashboard.
Made sure the firewall is allowing connections for DDService64d.
Drobo isn't showing in Disk Utility.

What else is there to try?

Thanks,
Alex

Your Mac Pro has an add-in card for USB3, correct? Is there a driver update for that card under 10.11?

It is not recognized using the native USB2 ports on the Mac Pro?

5D FW is 3.1.1 and Dashboard is 2.6.9?

Can you confirm that any other USB device works on those ports?

RE: Upgraded to El Capitan, drobo 5D is not recognized on USB3 connection
I am using a USB3 add-in card. I looked for updated USB drivers from the manufacturer but found none. I installed a generic driver updated but that didn't help.

The Drobo wasn't recognized using native USB2 ports all morning but all of a sudden it did recognize it as I'm typing this. WEIRD. So the problem is for sure with the USB 3 card.

Dashboard is 2.6.10
Firmware is 3.2.1
