Creating a 64tb volume

Question Creating a 64tb volume
I have a Drobo 5d with latest Dashboard (3.1.1) and Firmware (3.5.2) installed hooked to an iMac with the latest macOS (10.12.5). Until today it had 4x6tb and 1x4tb drives installed to give total 19.97tb (according to the calculator) but this was split into one 16tb volume and another of a 1.5gb. I assume that latter is a consequence of the old 16tb upper limit.

Following a failure one of the 6tb drives has been replaced with an 8tb. I know that this won't give more capacity, but I would like to change this to a single 64tb max drive.

My understanding is that you have to reformat the Drobo to do this. If I click on "Format" in the tools menu it offers me HFS+ as the format type, when I click next it says "You have selected a maximum volume of 64tb and you have 19.9tb available capacity. Therefore multiple volumes will be created".

What am I doing wrong?
